Cobi has discontinued the Cobi-5706 set.
The P-40E version of this fighter was armed with six 12.7mm Browning M2 machine guns and a 500 lb. bomb or an additional fuel tank in its place.
A Wisconsin Veteran’s Story…
Fritz Wolf, from Shawano, WI, served in the US Navy during WWII, but he also served as a pilot in the American Volunteer Group, The Flying Tigers, in China assisting the Chinese military against the Japanese. Wolf became a squad leader under the command of Gen. Chennault. You can see items from Wolf’s time of service in the galleries of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum.
